Beach house El Palo

Relaxing at the beach. This cute house from 1948 in the fishing district of El Palo is a wonderful place to enjoy the beach and the center of Malaga a little further away. Our house is located in a quiet pedestrian street just a 2-minute walk from the beach (about 200 meters). It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room with open kitchen and work area, a separate study/office, a spacious terrace with lounge sofa and dining area and a second terrace with a view of the sea and the center of Malaga. The house is cozy and complete. Everything has been thought of and that ensures that you can fully relax. The complete renovation was completed in December 2022. The house has been completely changed and is equipped with air conditioning and soundproof windows with shutters against sun, heat and noise. Sunny terrace

This lovely sunny terrace is located on the second floor and equipped with a lounge sofa, a table with four chairs, sun blinds that can be extended over the entire terrace if desired, and attractive lighting. Enjoy your breakfast here or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.

Two bedrooms

One bedroom has a large double bed (180 x 200cm), the other bedroom has two single beds (90 x 200cm). The beds have a pocket spring mattress and a thick and very comfortable topper. Both bedrooms have air conditioning, new soundproof windows with shutters so you can make it nice and dark and quiet. Furthermore, two bedside tables, a wardrobe with drawers and hangers, a full-length mirror, sufficient sockets and (clothing) hooks. The bedroom on the ground floor also has a ceiling fan.

Two bathrooms

The two fully equipped bathrooms both have a spacious walk-in shower and a washbasin with two large drawers. In the upstairs bathroom there is a toilet, the downstairs toilet is separate from the bathroom. In addition to a hairdryer, there are cotton swabs, cotton pads, tissues, hand soap, toilet paper, shower foam and shampoo.

Living room

A tastefully decorated and wonderfully bright living room with a comfortable sofa, armchair, flat screen TV, side tables, rug and both mood and reading lighting. A cozy dining area with round table and four dining room chairs. Furthermore, a separate work area with desk with sufficient sockets. There are also sufficient sockets at the dining table, making it very suitable as a workplace. Everything completely new and very comfortable.

Fully equipped kitchen

You won't go wrong with this kitchen. There is a dishwasher, induction hob, extractor hood, oven, microwave, large refrigerator with 3 freezer drawers, Tassimo coffee machine, kettle, toaster, hand blender, orange juicer, frying pans, pans, cooking utensils, plates, cutlery, various types of glasses, cups and cups, etc.

Separate office

On the ground floor there is a separate office that is adjacent to the indoor patio. A lovely large table, good WiFi, an armchair, air conditioning and sufficient sockets ensure that this is a wonderful workplace. So there are two separate workplaces in the house. This way you don't disturb each other during online meetings.

Travel guides

There are two Dutch travel guides about Malaga in the house that you can use during your stay. You will also receive an extensive information folder from us in advance by email with information about the house and our personal tips. This is also printed out in the house, so you don't have to print it out yourself.

Clean laundry

During your stay with us you can use the washing machine. We have detergents, an iron and board and a clothes rack. This way you don't have to take too much clothing with you when traveling. The laundry dries super quickly in the Spanish sun and if it rains, you can use the dryer function in the washing machine.

WiFi

There is free fast WiFi (600mbs) throughout the house, including on the terraces. The fast internet connection makes it ideal for working online.

Environment

The house is located in a pedestrian street typical of the area, where local residents greet each other on the street and everyone knows each other. Families have often lived in the same place for generations in these houses.

Transfer from the airport

If desired, we can arrange a transfer from the airport for you. This transfer costs 35 euros one way for up to 4 people. Our contact person will contact you about your arrival and you can arrange this transfer through him. This also applies to the return journey.

Late check-in

A surcharge of 15 euros applies for check-in after 10 p.m. If you arrive after midnight this is 30 euros. You pay this surcharge in cash upon arrival.

Roof terrace

From the terrace on the second floor you reach our roof terrace. Here you have a view of the sea and the beach and sun every moment of the day. Watch the sun rise and the sun set from this roof terrace. There is a table with two chairs and two lovely sunbeds.

Beach

El Palo beach is a 2-minute walk from the house (200 meters). Because we know that most guests come with a small suitcase, wonderfully large beach towels are available in the house as a courtesy from April to November. We also have a large beach bag, beach chairs, cool box, parasols and a cart ready for you to take these items to the beach.

Misuse

We have three bicycles available: 2 wonderfully comfortable Batavus city bicycles and 1 Ranger Valetta. These can be rented so you can cycle along the coast to the center of Malaga in 20 minutes. Or along the beautiful path along the coast towards the east. The bicycles are equipped with sturdy chain locks, a height-adjustable saddle and a luggage carrier with quick straps. Please contact us for more information. Our rental prices are a lot cheaper than the prices of bicycle rental companies in Malaga!

For the little ones

For our smallest guests (0-3 years) we have a camping bed with mattress, pillow and duvet, bed linen and high chair available. There is a surcharge of 20 euros per booking. Good to know that the bed can only be placed in the downstairs bedroom. Alternatively, the bed can also be placed in the office.

Air conditioning

The entire house has air conditioning, and each room can be operated separately. In summer to cool, and in winter to heat. There are four units: in both bedrooms, the office and the living room.

Flat screen Smart TV

A 43-inch smart TV with a large selection of films and series available via Amazon Prime. If you have a Netflix account yourself, you can also log in to Netflix on our television with your own details.

Upon arrival, there is a large and small bath towel ready for each person. In the kitchen there is a kitchen towel, tea towel and dishcloth. There is also oil & vinegar, salt & pepper, sugar, dishwasher tablets, cleaning products and detergents. There is coffee and tea for the first day. As a courtesy, lovely large beach towels are ready for you upon arrival from April to November.

Drinking water

The water in Malaga is certainly drinkable, but we don't like drinking it that way or using it for tea or coffee. That is why we have had a filter system installed (osmosis), so that you always have fresh drinking water from a separate tap. There are also glass bottles available so that you can cool this filtered water in the refrigerator. This saves you having to carry bottles of water and is better for the environment.

And further

Although it almost never rains, there are two folding umbrellas that you can use. There are games available in the living room. There are carbon monoxide/smoke detectors, two hand fire extinguishers and a first aid kit.

> Our neighbors are also your neighbors during your holiday. We have a good relationship with them and we would like to keep it that way. So we please ask you: - not to make excessive noise in the street or on the terrace; - keep it as quiet as possible after 10 p.m. > Smoking is not allowed. > Parties are not allowed. > Is something broken? Not a problem, but please report it to us immediately so that we can replace or repair it for the next guests.

Interaction with guests

You will be in contact with Rosina regarding your booking. She will arrange everything for you and provide you with the necessary information in advance. Federico is our contact person in Malaga. He will coordinate the arrival and departure with you and will receive you upon arrival. He is your first point of contact during your stay. Federico speaks English and Spanish. If desired, he can arrange matters for a fee, such as picking up groceries before arrival, extra cleaning or change of linen, etc.
