Malaga in December
|
|
December in Malaga is magical! From the end of November, the entire city is covered in enchanting Christmas lights. On Calle Larios There will be a spectacular light show set to music every evening until January 6 at 6:30 PM, 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Nearby, on the south tower of the cathedral is the video mapping Angel of Light to see, very fun for the children. Furthermore, Jardín Botánica is decorated in a fairytale style Las Luces de Concepcion. And don't forget the Christmas markets in Paseo del Parque and Muelle Uno!

But what makes Malaga really special in December is that the weather is usually sunny and warm. Temperatures are often above 20 degrees. When the sun is shining you can quickly wear short sleeves and eat a delicious fresh fish along the beach or take a dip in the sea. Fun fact; In mid-December the sun rises before half past eight in Malaga and does not set until after six o'clock. This means that you have more than 1.5 hours more daylight per day compared to the Netherlands. Good for building vitamin D!
